Nawton Tower

Nawton Tower was the home for the 3rd Earl of Feversham Viscount Helmsely until his death in 1963. Formerly an 18th century shooting lodge on the edge of the moors. The 3rd Earl of Feversham made it his home in 1923 when he came of age having inherited the Feversham estate at the age of nine from his father who was killed in the 1st World War.

Over the years the house and gardens were added to, until the Earls death in 1963 when the Nawton Tower was sold to help pay for Death duty. Over the next 50 years the house and gardens fell into disrepair until in 2013 when the House was put on the market. The Nawton Tower estate was able to acquire Lady Clarissa’s childhood home once again.

Over the next 2 Year Haxton developments as principal contractor restored Nawton Tower to its Former glory including installing a biomass district heating system, swimming pool, tennis court, equestrian complex with manage and converting the former stable into a new home for Lady Clarissa.
